5 Historical Photos That Donít Actually Depict The Famous People They Claim

Maybe I should have put this in the Billy the Kid photo thread; but along with the alleged "croquet photo" and new Billy photo, it covers alleged photographs of Abraham Lincoln, Civil War Spy Kate Warne, and Doc Holliday: 5 Historical Photos That Don't Depict The Famous People They Claim

NASA is an acronym for the National Air and Space Administration. Acronyms are always capitalized. Never written as Nasa. Another example would be FBI and not Fbi. Which we all know is the acronym for Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Actually, I have never wondered about that. I wonder how one can reach adulthood and not manage simple punctuation. If one does not possess the sophistication to punctuate, should he or she be taken seriously? But I'm funny like that.

As for the photographs in question, it doesn't surprise me a bit. People are too willing to lie and deceive to advance a personal agenda and people are too quick to accept whatever is put in front of them without any provenance whatsoever.

A very poor example, since the Moon Landings most certainly did occur and the the allegations that they didn't are complete nonsense and quite easily debunked. To be frank it's in flat earth territory.

If you'd like to debate them however I'd welcome a new thread.

There is always the famous Homer Plessy photo which isn't of him at all.

While it isn't necessarily about a famous person, I've seen people share a photo/meme that supposedly depicts Irish slaves as sort of a retort to the Black Lives Matter movement. Turns out the picture isn't even of Irish slaves, but instead a bunch of American child laborers from the late 19th century.
