If anybody 'Won' that fiasco, Canada is the best bet.

What exactly did Canada win?

Not to be part of the USA (whether they wished to or not), to eventually exist in their own right

"Canada" surviving meant Canada won. That does not mean the US lost. If there must be a loser, it's Britain.

Well, it was a failed invasion of Canada, though the British did stop kidnapping American sailors. Americans usually celebrate the Battle of New Orleans, but the war already had had a negotiated end by then with the Treaty of Ghent.
I've always been a little skeptical when we Americans say we never lost a war until Vietnam. The Korean War was really a draw, as the North Korean invasion of South Korea failed, but later UN attempts to overrun North Korea also failed after the Chinese jumped in.
For similar reasons, I will say the War of 1812 was a draw. America avoided permanent punishment for our somewhat justified, naughty invasion of Canada by stopping any stripping away of our territory.
...Canada, by avoiding conquest, now has universal healthcare.

Well the USA failed to achieve its war aims--so it lost.

The British achieved their war aims -- so they won.

How did the British lose?

Matter of debate whether they did in the first place but they stopped because the wars with France ended and they had no need not because the USA forced them.
