Question about Mesoamerican Nahuatl History.

When you study history you learned that the Aztecs arrived here several centuries before Cortez.

How long ago did the Nahuatl people arrive in America?

I have been made to understand that the Aztecs were genetically related to the Nahuatl; could anybody elaborate on this with any type of information. I have read that the Mayan arrived in America several thousand years before the Aztecs

Nahua peoples were originary from the Americas like the Mayas, the diference was that the Maya culture was born and developed in Mesoamerica, the Nahua probably developed in American Southwest(USA) and north Mexico and later migrated to Mesoamerica and well developed in various kingdoms and peoples one of them the Mexicas (Aztecs), both the Mayas and the Aztecs are descendant of the paleo-indians that crossed the bering strait in the last glacial age, but both Maya and Aztecs are native from the americas they never arrived in americas because they are from americas, with happaned in Nahua case was a migration that began in americas and ended in americas.
