No doubt the early Americans were very evil towards the natives. But those natives were not innocent meek treehuggers. They were in a constant state of warfare before we came & were quite happy to murder & enslave each other. We almost always had native allies begging us to attack another tribe. Not that that makes what we did right. But all Europeans were not so evil. When Jackson did the trail of tears my forebears hid many Cherokee friends they had made. The entire eastern band of Cherokee are decendants of those that succssefully hid & evaded the soldiers.

I found it an interesting read. It isn't a real history, but it expresses a point of view. Different from what I was taught in elementary school. Perhaps it is colored by the US being such a dominating power and Irish history of all sort of bad things done by the English.

Would you rather have Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union as the main world power?

I asked him why so many Irish came to the US. Should they all (their descendants) go back? I know some were Unionists (protesants supporting the UK), but most came during the Famine of 1845-1852. Apparently the OP would rather they did because that would be one good thing that doesn't fit with his narrative.

Well clearly he must. I suggested Russia replace NATO and all of Europe be placed under Russian protection. I actually think the current US President could possibly support that. The OP can't oppose that because the US is the ultimate evil in the world.

One might appreciate Marine Major General Smedley D. Butler's book "War Is a Racket" if he hasn't read it yet.

One can easily read it in one sitting.

Here are some quotes - https://www.goodreads.com/author/quo...edley_D_Butler
