Obama restores rank of disgraced Vietnam general

"More than 30 years after his death, an Air Force general has been exonerated of charges that he violated presidential restrictions on aerial bombing during the Vietnam War and that he ordered the falsification of records to conceal the missions."

Too bad this wasn't rectified back in the 70s.

If you read the private concerns of Nixon vs. his public statements on a timeline, it is really appalling what he knowingly did to this general.

It's good to see his good name restored.

yeah his name is restored, but I think this is a publicity thing
dumb liberal politicians created the vietnam mess, tried to micromanage it, and used ridiculous regulations on troops ( sound familiar)
all that general did was kill the enemy, I would have given him a medal.

Of course it is, sadly with US citizens being pawns in a political game.
I'm still waiting for Jack Johnson to be pardoned as asked by Sen. John McCain back in 2009 but the White House turned him down.
