Post William Howard Taft

William Howard Taft (September 15, 1857 - March 8, 1930) was the 27th president of the United States. He is best known for two things:

1. Being the fattest US president in history. In fact he was so fat that he got stuck in his own bathtub and had to have people help him to get unstuck. He eventually got a [url=http://www.wellswooster.com/phototaft.htm]gigantic bathtub[/b] to replace the one he got stuck in.

2. He was at a baseball game and stood up in between the first and second half of the seventh inning, thus creating the baseball tradition of the 'seventh-inning stretch'.

Let's discuss this president, his policies, his philosophies, his actions, his life, his weight problems, and why he decided to stand up during the middle of the seventh inning.

Here's another bulb in a strand of Xmas lights. I have a thimble full of knowledge about President Taft.
He was big
Last president to have facial hair
The 16th Amendment was passed under his watch
He enjoyed law far more than politics.
Not so good on Civil Rights
Chief Justice of the Supreme Court after leaving office.

Re: William Howard Taft

Because of Taft being a spoiler candidate, Wilson instead of Roosevelt became president.

Taft ruined everything....
