A trolley trip down Market St, San Francisco

http://www.samscorner.org/?p=3331

Anyone see the 60 Minutes special on the video I linked above? Supposedly shot in 1906 right before the great fire/earthquake in San Francisco. It's truly amazing and so fascinating to watch! Enjoy!

I love the complete traffic chaos...no signals, no right of way, pedestrians walking out in front of cars and wagons.

As I watch it again, I am amazed by the thought that all of the people (if not for a lucky few!) that we see in this video are now dead. As the previous poster said, what a great look into a time gone by...

I was just there on Market Street and to see the old tracks fit right in with this video. Thanks for posting.

Really intersting and the traffic was chaos. It even looked like a couple of times some just jumped on passing vehicles to take a ride (hard to tell though)

Thanks for posting it!

I lost count of the near collisions! I wonder when the city authorities (any city) realized how much revenue they could make from traffic citations.

Fascinating film.
