Question What was so important about the events at Little Rock in 1957?

I'm trying to understand the importance, so if anyone can help, that would be great. Thank you

If you Google your question you will be directed to many, many sites that have lots and lots and lots of information. It would be great if you could condense what you find and share it with us. BTW, welcome to the forum.
