However, Lincoln made many quotes about his opinion on blacks.

These quotes, for some reason, are not anywhere to be found on his memorial.

That is very true. His early writings, if uttered today, would be instantly labeled
racist with no escape clause. Presidents not in office or running for office
are notorious for saying many nice sounding platitudes till they get
the big chair and then are privy to a host of information not for
public consumption. Being chief magistrate often changes a person's mind.

When we provide headstones for serial killers we don't mention their body count.

A President deserves better than them.

Same goes for many of the Founding Fathers on blacks and women as well.

Absolutely, some people in the US need to have a hero, so they pick Lincoln and lie and hide his real quotes and ideals from the ignorant masses.

Don't forget slave owner Grant, your avatar, hero of the Civil War and President if the US.

Grant was given a slave by his father-in-law who he owned for weeks/months before setting free at a time when he could have used the money from selling him. Certainly far from perfect but I'll take that over your slave-whipping and trading "heroes".

Haven't you ever considered getting some new material? I can't imagine repeating the same things for three years can be very interesting.

I for one don't consider him a saint or devil.

He had a great burden handed to him when he was elected President and he did what he thought was right.

I can not condon everything he did nor can I condemn all his actions.
