We had Kim Campbell for like a few month and she wasn't elected, she just took over until the next election

I couldn't name even one, though every one of those listed are familiar names. I had to cheat to find out Stephen Harper was the incumbent. I've also never even seen a good history of Canada. Children's books, yes. But never a good history. Even the period histories I've seen have been by United Statesians (well, the Spanish have a good word, estadunidienses)

Canada does have a history, doesn't it?

Kinda…

Haha, though I agree, there are not many books that really outline it. My knowledge of our history is cobbled together from elementary and highschool social studies courses and then some military history reading I've done on my own.

The only one I know is Pierre Trudeau, and only because of his rather notorious wife.

If you live in the US, as i do, we know nothing about this. We get no coverage of all this down here and its actually really pathetic.

“In Pierre Elliott Trudeau, Canada has at last produced a political leader worthy of assassination.”

Who is Irving Layton anyways? I personally don't know who he is nor do I care to after reading that. Maurice Duplessis I could see, but Trudeau? Give me a break.
