The American Civil War Battlefield Thread

How many battlefields have you visited so far?

If tourists could have regimental colors, the following names would be embroidered on mine:

Gettysburg (been to in 1992, 1999, 2004, 2009, and 2011)
Antietam (summer of 2010)
New Market (summer of 2011)
Harpers Ferry (summer of 2011)

This summer I will probably visit some of the above again, and also plan to hit Fredericksburg/Chancellorsville.

Gettysburg (Also several times, as I live relatively close. It was really cool taking the boys two summers ago after they saw the movie.)
Antietam
Fredericksburg/Chancellorsville/Spotsylvania
Cold Harbor
Murfreesboro (I have family in TN. My plans to get to Shiloh this year fell through, though. )

Edit: I forgot Appomattox

Nice list! Ohio is a great "central" location for eastern and western theater sites.

Thanks. The funny thing is that there is in fact a battlefield in Ohio, and I haven't been to it! (Yet)

Yes, it's a great story. I've been to the site where he surrendered, and to another site nearby where there was a small skirmish and where 3 of his men are buried. But I still need to get to Buffington Island, preferably for a reenactment.
