My favourite American Vice President is Charles Dawes who wrote the lryics of the 1920's origined pop love song ''ALL IN THE GAME'' which was a hit for Tommy Edwards in November 1958 (Edwards was a One Hit Wonder in 1958 with Vice President Dawes song)) and British pop star Cliff Richard also had a hit with Vice- Prezzie Dawes's love song in the 1970's in Britain.
Dawes also was responsible for the 1925 Dawes Plan which tried to solve the problem of German Reparation payments under the Treaty of Versailles of 1919.
Regarding Millard Fillmore- he abolished body odour from the White House as he was the first President to install a bath tub in the White House.
I recall too Nixon's 1968 Vice President Spiro T. Agnew who, alas, became immersed in a ''kickbacks'' scandal allegations.
Vice President Johnson who succeeded Abe Lincoln only avoided Impeachment on the single vote of Senator Ross of Kansas.
Most frightening U.S. Vice -Presidential candidate in my lifetime was ex-Air Force General Curtis LeMay who ran as Vice Presidential candidte on Alabama red neck, cracker, George Wallace's ticket in 1968
If Wallace/ LeMay had been voted in to the 1968 White House instead of Nixon/Agnew then the'' Doctor Strangelove'' movie would have become fact and not fiction.with LeMay playing the Stirling Hayden ''General Jack D. Ripper'' role for real.
I.E.-''George-''I mean President Wallace-''
''Yes Curtis?
''Fluoride in water?-its all a Commie plot.''
