Hi there i'm new, i'm Scott from Scotland living in England, one of my alltime interests is the Native American Indian Histories and pretty much anything in that field.
I find the whole topic completely fascinating and have read a fair amount including "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" and "Today is a good day to Fight" being just two of my particular favourites, i'm not so keen on fiction and cowboy and indian novels and films just don't do it for me.
I was shocked to read what really seems to have gone on during these times and yet again the reality of man's inhumanity to man in the name of power and ideology and greed comes to the fore.
I would love to start a dialogue with likeminded folk and am interested in the possibility of communicationg with true native Americans and finding out what they tell, are there many people like me in the UK who have the same interests, but probably from the horses mouth is the real way of knowing.
I hope there are others who would be happy to chat about this historical period and sort out some of the lesser known innacuracies.
Maybe my keen liking for Neil Young has something to do with this but for some reason Crazy Horse really intrigues me, don't know why but there it is, although of course all the Cheifs and indeed all the major players are interesting . Hope to hear from some folks. Scott.
