Well, as Viper said, an ineffective traitor.

Hey! I'm no yank! My family is one of a proud line of Virginians, we believe we might be descended from Jefferson himself! My dads parents moved to Tuscon when he was a baby, so he grew up learnin' how to be tough, how to be a frontiersman, how to be a cowboy. He raised me to be so, I, my friend, would have been off in the Arizona territory fightin' of Apache while you rebs and yanks were arguin' over your puny states rights and slaves. Wimps.

Of course, that's on my dads side, on my moms my family was still in Norway while the war was happenin'.

I live in the western United States, and back in the 19th century my family was still in British India.

Anyone can claim to be descended from warriors. When you think about it, there must've been at least a few fighting men in everyone's ancestry.

At least we agree that ineffective traitors are not great men.

If any of my ancestors were anything but peasants who occasionally conscripted into someone else's war (which they promptly figured out how to get out of -- the ancestor of mine who I'm aware fought in the US Civil War spent more time in a Confederate PoW Camp than on the battlefield), I'd be terribly surprised.

And I'm proud of that. War does not make one great, as a wise puppet once said.
