Americans in Japan <WWII?

Assuming that there had to have been at least a number of American diplomats/civilians in Japan early December 1941, does anyone know what happened to them once WWII broke out?

Thanks in advance.

They were rounded up and put in concentration camps. A good film to watch is Empire of the Sun.
