Re: Cycladic Art - A Pre Greek culture

I will add more to this only if I can get some decent imput.

Any early Bronze Age scholars out there?

I wonder how much influence the so-called Cycladic people had on later Greeks in the early Classical Period? Egypt had an influence on Greek art but I wonder how much this culture influenced them.

We know little about them but I wonder if they were Indo European or Semitic in origins or a mix of both. We don't know anything about the language they spoke and with no text it puts us more into the dark.

Please don't write in black. Every time I have to select your text in order to read it.

The predecessors of the Greeks on the lower Balkans (Peloponnese, Thessaly), were the Pelasgians (a branch of the Thracian people). Actually, Peloponnese was named after them.
According to Herodotus, the Greek gods were borrowed from the Pelasgians.
