Planet X...the 10th planet

I heard a few years ago that the mesopotamians had an old legend that there had once been a planet in our solar system that is no where to be seen today.

Is this credible? Was there ever a 10th planet?

There may be some other small planet, a planetoid, but I doubt there is another large planet out there. It would of been found by now and they've already looked for one.

Actually, there are currently only eight planets; Pluto was demoted by the IAU in 2006.

There is a theoretical extra planet that should explain neptune and uranus' deviating orbits.

I hear that is is behind the sun, and thus invisible only in certain centuries or millenia, such as the Mesopotamian era.

I dont know?

It would have a vertical angle to the other planets' orbits.

Pluto has been demoted, and I believe there is another 'planet' that is pluto like a little beyond it, which may have been more visible before then now. It could have been another Astronomical body mistaken for a planet, and so on.

Well there's Charon ... although IIRC the present concensus is that it is a moon of Pluto.
