Tyrrhenia and Etruria (Etruscan ) are also related words and they appears to be a Phoenician presence in those areas, after all, the Greek Alphabet came from the Phoenician Alphabet , where-ever that Alphabet came from is debatable, but evidence suggests from Cretan Hieroglyphs, into Linear B/A into Phoenician, then into the Latin/Greek Alphabet.

If Troy derives from /צֹר/ then it's a descriptive word for a Walled City, Homer's Troy was known as
Ilion , therefore 'Troy Ilios' together means 'Walled City of Ilios' and 'Ilion is a northern suburb of Athens.

If Troy = Athens, then the Trojan War was a Civil War entirely set in Greece, perhaps Dorians vs Attics.

There is evidence that Athens might have being a Walled city.
The name Troy comes from the Teucrian people who inhabited it.
The actual name of the city was Ilium - which is where the title Iliad comes from. It was not rare for ancient cities to have multiple names. Especially in Anatolia. Byzantium had been changed to New Rome by Constantine, but was often called Constantinople, and later Istanbul before the name became official.

would like to make another addition to the topic. I think it is appropriate here.

the letters AK. in the Latin language implicitly refers to WHITE. synthesized from six Latin words.
thus, DАK = D(T)-AK = NO WHITE = BLACK. TROJAN conquered the DACIANS, that is
BLACK. nickname.
remember the text of the ETRUSCANS, which the TROJANS call BLACK the to avoid certain actions. and it was about this resort THRACE/DACIA.
so all fuses.

so: JEWS = TROJANS = BLACK to avoid certain actions = DACIANS (descendants of the TROJANS).

that's why in ROME (at the beginning of a new era) and its surroundings were a huge number of JEWS (the Emperor TROJAN has led more than 0.5 million DACIANS as slaves).

it's food for thought (for those who do it). does not require disputes. hypothesis.
