Egyptians had all kinds of chimera beings, not all bad; the sphinx, Ka, Ba, various aspects of certain gods and goddesses.. It was part of their magical belief system; members of the body like arms, heads, etc. were personified and their powers could be recombined in the Egyptian mind. Metaphor again.

Even using that as a more 'direct' inference, we could also say La Balsa ( which everyone seems to want to forget about ) demonstrates possible contact between Sth American Indians and Australian Aboriginals .

... and not just once either !

" Between 1966 and 1973, Spanish explorer Vital Alsar led three expeditions to cross the Pacific Ocean by raft - La Pacífica in 1966, La Balsa in 1970 and Las Balsas in 1973. Travelling from Ecuador, South America, to Australia, the first expedition failed, but the second and third succeeded, both setting the record for the longest known raft voyages in history - 8,600 miles (13,800 km) and 9,000 miles (14,000 km) respectively. Oh yes. I was going to link to an article, but my computer's copy and paste feature hasn't been working properly for some time. Look up Thor Heyerdahl's Ra II expedition. He sailed successfully from the west coast of Africa to Barbados.

You never know when you might need an extra.
It seems an infection we picked up from the USA . Halloween is celebrated here too, more each year ... but we do American Halloween ( that is, the same date , in spring, which makes little sense if one understands the old dynamics involved !

Anywayz , saw similar recently last time I was in our 'little city ' ( regional centre ) .... a skull , and hand bones and lower arm bones - wtf ?

On closer inspection, it is so you can set them in the ground and make it look like a skeleton is clawing its way out of the earth.

I nearly bought it .... we have a grave on our property and I thought .....

Ah yes, good point, I forgot about him . Another 'chaotic' scenario .

So Set could have been a ... 'chimera' . ..... Wait ! 'eater of souls ' ?

I thought he ate ...

(Yes ... I do see the potatoes there .... they were imported from Sth America along with the cocaine .)

Aardvark vs Anteater - Difference and Comparison | Diffen

Oh, and different countries I see as well

Unless Seth represents the combining of the two animals ... more proof of Egypt / Sth America contact ... and that would explain Seths giant 'hooter' ... that seems constructed like a 'Californian vacuum cleaner ' .

An Egyptian anteater huh? I suppose it's possible. Anteaters do tend to inhabit fairly arid environs. It is not entirely out of the realm of possibility for such as species to have inhabited North Africa during antiquity.

Seth was represented as a composite figure, with a canine body, slanting eyes, square-tipped ears, tufted (in later representations, forked) tail, and a long, curved, pointed snout; various animals (including aardvark, antelope, ass, camel, fennec, greyhound, jackal, jerboa, long-snouted mouse, okapi, oryx, and pig) have been suggested as the basis for his form. Because even the ancient Egyptians rendered his figure inconsistently, it is probably a mythical composite.

Set is shown as a human figure with an animal head, but no one knows exactly which animal it’s supposed to be. To be clear, it’s not that he has an animal head exactly, but that his head is a fully inhuman creature known as the “Set animal”. Sometimes it’s known as the Typhonic Beast, because Set is also associated with the Greek god Typhon.

This beast looks a bit like a Jackal, but it has a stiff, forked tail. Its ears are very long and stand upright. The beast’s nose is long and tapers almost like that of an anteater. The head sometimes looks somewhat like that of a giraffe. Surely no actual animal such as this has ever existed on Earth, so the animal is likely to be an invention by the ancient Egyptians.

Set was worshiped as a god of the desert, and of storms and chaos. If his depiction represented a real animal, it would have been of a species which dwelt in the relevant habitat.
