"The new investigations carried out by the Italians in the Autumn of 2017 give hope that in January we will have further evidence about the anomalies and their character."
I also notice Zahi has been very quiet on this subject as of late.

I am also waiting for what Zahi has found looking for that tomb indicated as being in the West Valley.

There is a news item circulating about the possibility that the newly discovered void in the Great Pyramid may contain an iron throne, with or without Cersei Lanister sitting on it is not determined. However, this is in fact a serious idea put forward by Giulio Magli, Director of the Department of Mathematics and Professor of Archaeoastronomy at the Politecnico di Milano. He has published a paper on this, quoting an extract of the pyramid texts.

Quote:
“The doors of the sky are opened for you, the doors of Nut are thrown opened for
you, the doors of the firmament are thrown opened for you. Endure, says Isis, in
peace, says Nepthis, when they see their brother. Raise yourself, loose your
bonds, throw off your dust, sit on this your iron throne.”
He says that this would be a throne similar to the intact throne of his mother, Queen Hetepheres, and not be made of solid meteoritic iron, but covered in sheets of the iron.

He also says that it is unlikely that the void is a stress relieving structure for the Grand Gallery, as the ceiling of the gallery is corbelled and so does not need additional relieving.

I have no idea if this about the iron throne could be a real thing or just fanciful, but at least I believe he is right about the void not being a relieving chamber for the Grand Gallery, and as I have written before, it makes no sense for it to be so.

Link to the Cornell University page, and on the right hand side is a link to the pdf containing the full paper. https://arxiv.org/abs/1711.04617

Dr. Magli, who is well known and appreciated in Italy, not only as professor, but also as archaeoastronomer, can be with our beloved Dr. Hawass.

Zahi [I dare to be a bit confidential with Horo Hawass!] suggested that somewhere in the Great Pyramid there is a statue of Osiris.

Now, the star connection for Magli is "natural".

Personally I've got a different idea [may be more intriguing]. A double great gallery ... the second one [the hidden one] carried to the real chamber of the king with the sarcophagus and the mummy of Khufu.

This is my guess.
