Phoenician & Latin

The history of Latins & Phoenicians are intertwined, Phoenician colonies surrounded Ancient Italy, they raged wars together and use a common script. It seems rather strange too believe, that these languages are unrelated and not share any vocabulary.

I word searched through Phoenician (Hebrew) and Latin vocabulary and finding cognitive is very easy, I start with some of the Roman Gods.

Saturn - קציר , קצר (Qtir, Qtr) "reap, harvest, time "
Iove - יהוה (Ieve) ' open
Jupiter - יהו פטר (Ieu ptr) " Iove that opens the womb'
Bacchus - בכא (Bka) 'weep'
Mars - מרי (Mri) 'strife'
Vulcan - בעל חם (Bol kam) 'alchemy'
Neptune - תנינ, תנ (Tnin) ' sea monster
Luna - לבנה (Lvna) ' moon
Apollo - בעל (Bol) ' archer
Ceres - גרש (Grs) ' Grain
Salus - שלות (Salut) 'be at ease
Sabus - שבע (Sbo) ' Oath
Caelus - כל (Col) ' whole
Rome - כלב > כלמ > כרמ > רמ ' Wolf
Fides - קשט '(Qst ) Faith

Well, if you search hard enough you will always be able to find some random similarities when comparing the vocabularies of two non-related languages, and it is not hard to come up with related "meanings" if you are creative.

If Phoenician and Latin are unrelated languages then it contradicts Ancient Italian history, it's how the language is written with it's script that defines it and Ancient Italian languages were written in the Phoenician-Venetian script, no vowels.

V = ף, φ

CAVAS - Hollow ( of a Rock )
CAP [כַּף] - Hollow ( Of a Rock)

The name given for the biblical Peter, is Κηφας

Felix > Φηλιξ
Cavas > Κηφας

Thus the name Cephas can be rooted from either Latin & Phoenician with the same results.

CAPITAL - Capital (of a pillar)
CAPTOR(כפתר) - Capital (of a pillar)

CAPTOR is also Knop or Bulb (of a flower), Caepa ( Onion) , CPP (כפף)"dig-down" and σκάφη (Skaph) "dig" .

SIMON , from שׁוּם [Sum] 'Garlic' is Xamai (χαμαί ) "on the ground" or
the Latin 'humō' "ground-soil' , this name however is found as a
Ancient Italian god, Semonia "goddess of sowing".

I was suggesting the usage of the Phoenician alphabet overall since I noted something curious in the Hebrew translations ...

for example ... moon ... why not לונה?

Phoenician is better.

So ... where is this thread carrying us?

The Latin word ' Spirit is an unusual word , when compared with the Greek & Phoenician translation, the word is feminine, with that -t ending.

Songs 6:10 - Fair as the moon (𐤋𐤁‬𐤍‬𐤄)

Phoenician Language as being in a theological closet for quite some time, so the thread will prove that Phoenician language is not an ethnic specific language and that it belongs with the Latin & Greek family.
