Tests are learning tools, and should be used more as such in schools, rather than proofs of student shortcomings, held against them in their grades; that is, emphasize frequent non-punitive quizzes as self-checks, to keep students on track, and to keep the teacher abreast of their progress.
None of us will repeat the mistakes we made on this little quiz...unless I have more senior moments, that is.

I have to say, I have serious doubts about the Persians 'inventing the brick'. How on earth could you accurately ascribe the invention of such a common and obvious object to any one person? I believe that mudbricks were probably used in Sumer, millennia before Persia existed.

Its quizzes like this that I enjoy most - I bet that was pretty damn hard for the layman who'd probably never heard of most of the places mentioned in it, but for us historumites, we're averaging over 90%!
