i believe that latest genetic testing has shown that there is a genetic marker for pictish lineage i think it is named s145-pict and that it is found in large concentration n east of scotland and moray it would be interesting to find if similar markers appeared in other races perhaps basques

It seems odd that Scots who saw Rome as a defeated force behind Hadrian's wall would adopt their "Scythian" code-word, or that Irish would use it for "their" Ulster clans. It's in Arbroath declaration as a defiant self-definition.
