How did the Sumerians/Assryians/Babylonians disappear ?

They surely didn't "disappear", they just mixed with other cultures.

Assyrians are still present as a people as far as I know. Most of them are Christians nowadays, belonging mostly to the Chaldean Catholic Church and Syriac Orthodox Church.

Many Assyrians in Sweden. Sadly after the US invasion of Iraq, Christians arent really safe there anymore. They are so many of them over here that they have made their own football teams which are now playing in the top divisions of the Swedish football league

By Sweden standards yes (the average attendence is like 8000 people at a game). But yeah they have very passionate fans mostly first generation Assyrians from Iraq.

8000 people per game are very good attendances for a country of only 9,3 millions.

That is true, but after having watched and been to English Premier League matches for most of your life, it is very small. Just isnt the same atmosphere
