Do any of you guys know any books about Epaminondas and Pelopidas?

Carcalla, I chuckled to myself because it was reading that same book that got me interested in Epaminondas and Pelopidas.

Caracalla - I really enjoyed reading 'From Democrats to Kings', great book.

I don't usually read about the Greek history (although I love their myths), but I fancied a break from Rome. It was a good book. So much so, in fact, that it has sparked my interest in Greek history and I'm reading up on them more. Quarrelsome bunch, weren't they?

Yes, it is this very book that made me understand just how truly quarrelsome the Greeks were.

Try to read one of the 8-12 volume long histories of Greece by 19th century historians(like George Grote,William Mitford,Bishop Thirlwall etc.),which really go into detail,and only then will you truly appreciate how much quarrelsome these guys were.
