Trojan War: Who got what they deserved?

Of all the players, Achilles, Agamemnon, Helen, Patroclus, Hemithea, Diomedes..........who got what they deserved, be it good or bad....and who got the short end of the stick?

Trojan refuges got to Italian peninsula, founded Rome and conquered Greece.
So Greek occupants got what they deserved

Diomedes kind of got what he deserved in the aftermath of the Trojan War. His wife was living in adultery with another man, despite Diomedes being faithful to her, which isn't a good thing. But then he left and founded cities in Italy married King Daunus' daughter Euippe and bore him two sons, and lived in peace in Italy with beautiful and prosperous cities in his kingdom. He apparently made peace with the Trojans by giving the Palladium to Aeneas, and afterwards Athena made him a god.

Pretty good end I must say, despite his wife having numerous affairs (or at least one depending on the tradition).

And what makes you think Homer's readers got what they deserved(because that was the question, not "who benefited")?

Fascinating, that as late as Mehmed II,events of Trojan War(mythological version),could still be used for politics.

I have even better ones :
Before Bouvines, Philip II of France declared that his knights were "magnanimous descendants of the Trojans."
And in the early 16th century, the French king Louis XII always said, to encourage his troops "avenge our trojan ancestors."
