What is this cross?

In South-West of Bulgaria were found 5 vaults. In one of them were found 7 strange crosses.
Can someone tell me what they represent?

Isn't that the same cross that the Templers used?

I think it pre dates the Templars. It's very similar to those found at the base of Mt. Ararat, carved into several large standing stones.

Not that it isn't in the realm of possibility that it's been faked but, if you look closely you'll see that it's not that fresh looking. It says it's in a vault which means it's been somewhat protected, knowing that a vault can also mean the roof of an arch. Also, if you look to the top you can see a fault that runs thru the cross. I can make out a few flakes of pigment stuck to the calcite growing out of the crack. Which means that pigment has been there for some time.

Lubimo, I would like to know more about this. Do you have pics of the other 6? You say vaults, what kind of vault? where and is there anything else immediately in the area? What are these vaults in context with? The more you can tell us, the more we can narrow down on this cross.

It is indeed possible that this is a Templar Cross. From the angle that the image is taken from, it appears that each arm of the cross is the same length. Templars were known to use this symbol
