Many people think Caesar is the best general of Roman and arena is all of Roman but it isn't true .
Roman always said " Fortune like Caesar and Talent like Trajan" . I know someone very exellent in millitary . They are Trajan , Marcus Aurelius , Sulla and Marius . I don't think them can't do things similar to Caesar . The most effective battle belong to Marius , not Caesar . In a battle , his army kill enemies greater than 80 times his soldier . Trajan conquered Dacian and Parthian but Caesar or Crassus can't do ... So I thnik Caesar isn't best in Roman .
Arena is very interesting but scientist found many things outside it . Roman has many scientist : Heron , Vitruvius , Pliny , Galenus ... They invented many important inventor , too . Crystal , cement , sailng - boat ... were invented by Roman in their empire age . So , science and technology of Roman is very attracting .

Trajan defeated Parthian in history and located a new Parthian king in Susan . Why you said he wasn't 100% going to defeat Parthian?

Why you said he wasn't 100% going to defeat Parthian? | Just because he did it doesn't mean he's 100% sure he would win. I got into an Ivy school, but I wasn't 100% sure I would get in when I applied. Most things in the world are like that. To say Trajan was 100% sure he would win before actually fighting is stretching the imagination by alot.

The Idus of March DCCVI AUC / 44 BC was hardly their idea of good fortune.

Caesar was even planning a grand campaign against Parthia which was to rival Alexander the Greats conquests, yet he was assassinated just before he was to set off for it. how well he was going to perform i can't say as he would have faced a very different enemy and terrain to what he had previously handled. yet if his other victories are anything to go by like Alesia and Pharsalus then he was certainly up to the challenge.
only speculation can say and everyone is right in speculation.
