Can anyone reccomend to me a book about the Dorians? ty in advance.I also would like to know if you guys think that the dorian ancestry of Sicillians has anything to do with why they got the reputation they have today. I was pondering it and seemed interesting to me that usually the areas in Greece that are famous for there warriors are mostly dorian areas (Laconia/Mani, Crete,Makedonia) and that the modern descendants of these areas in Greece are usually seen as up to no good (Cretans and Maniates mainly are the examples I get). I wondered that if the shared dorian ancestry of these areas has anything to do with their behavior. Not intended to be offensive as the areas that my family comes from in Greece were all dorian areas in the ancient times.

Just keep in mind that everything we know about their migrations 15 years and back, is outdated. So don't stick to Dorian migrations, only to the Dorian speakers.
