There was radio station here in Orlando that mentioned a recent trip to the pyramids, saying since they were built by slaves, that didn't see what the hype was about.
For me, this comment was entirely short sided and just plain ridiculous.
I believe that structures that have been standing for hundreds of years, preserved for eyes in the present day are pretty spectacular.
What do you think about this comment by the Radio Station?

I think it is typical of radio stations and the entertainment business in general.
They're looking for controversy to up their ratings and thus profit. They aren't interested in investigating the truth.
I find it quite curious, too, that they had the pleasure of visiting the pyramids but somehow missed the part about historians not having reached a definite conclusion about how the pyramids were built.

I agree Sharks.
Radio personalities MAKE their living by getting people mad at them and furious enough to call in and argue with them. Hate or like Rush Limbaugh, Howard Stern or even Imus, they all have their own programs, make a good living at talking and getting people stirred up.

I went to the statue of liberty last week and I felt the way he did about the pyramids. Howard Stern is awesome though on a side note. He got a guy to put a stick up his ass so they could play ring toss in the studio, lmao.

Their whole purpose is to generate controversy and disputes, but the fact that they did make a ridiculous comment about who really built the pyramids just proves his ignorance.

Yeah, well I'd like to see THEM built a pyramid that lasts for 3,000 years in relativly perfect conditon.
Hey, Orlando! The only reason you're a city in Florida is because a hundred or so years ago, someone laid down your floorplan on a peice of paper. I hardly see what the big idea is with you getting all excited about your own city's history. I mean...it's nothing but wood, brick, and concrete stacked up on each other.
*awaits impending flame army*

Who told him the pyramids were build by slaves?
We drove to New York a 3 years ago (I'm Canadian) and saw the Statue of Liberty. Total waste of time...
