Thracians


Were the Thracian people, of which Spartacus was a member, more Doric, Indo-European, or something else entirely?

Definitely more in the Indo-European branch, the Dorians seem to be more of an Asian Minor people.

Hmmm. I think the Dorians came from the North, not from Asia Minor.

Btw in answer to the initial question, I believe that Thracians were Indo-European peoples. What else could they have been?

Well they came down from the north but their language seems to have originated around Asia Minor, as far as I can remember.

Hmm it seems they originated more along Northwest Greece/Macedonia apparently...wonder where I got that idea from. Though the origin of such groups is hard to find out.

Maybe I'm just saying that since I seem to be wrong

Tracian people lived in north western anatolia Bulgaria and Greece. Trakia is todays modern name of European side of Turkey,

Tracian had no alphabet, resources about them are mostly of greek orgine. They speak indo-european language.

There is a city thought to be of Tracian, in Dagos Mountain (Turkey). The city estimated to arised 5000 BC.

They make research on the city, They are hopefull that they will find more important information on Tracian cities,
