They are solid works with a little too big eyes from a provincial cemetery... while nothing was preserved from a center- Rome. Everytime when I think that all antique painting is lost it makes me sick.

Yeah, it is terrible. Only mosaics and surviving frescoes and these, give us an idea of what they might have been like..
