Thanks Bullit, yes the Harrison Ford clip is with Rutger Hauer, from the classic dystopian cyberpunk Blade Runner: a must see. The scene that Kevin posted, 'tears in the rain', is among the most cult monologues in film history.

I totally agree. The more I dwell in this thread, the more I remember films that have thrilled me, one memory leads to another - hence the flooding.
