I am not a big movie goer. Have seen hurt locker, american sniper, 3 kings How are the new war films about Iraq, or Afghanistan differ from the famous Vietnam films?

The one that ranks highest in my book is "The Deer Hunter."

I don't think you will find an honest appraisal id the Iraq wars coming out of Hollywood.

My favourite Vietnam War movie is "We Were Soldiers". It features Lt. Col. Hal Moore and his leadership at the battle of La Drang in 1965. Well worth seeing.
