A carpenter might talk of a gimlet.

Apodyopsis is the act of mentally undressing someone.
I have indeed engaged in apodyopsis on many occasions, but I find myself able to refrain in the instance of the esteemed but (for me) "non-objective" Linschoten. Nor are your weeds diaphanous to me, Avon, old chap.

Aw, shucks, but I must confess to being an autotonsorialist whilst not wishing to indulge in auto-prosopography.

I must confess to knowing nothing at all about autos. Nevertheless, I took the precaution of having my muffler bearings changed before the onset of winter.

aureate

- of a golden color or brilliance

- marked by grandiloquent and rhetorical style

Incarnadine - crimson (or more literally, flesh-coloured, but that hardly seems suitable for such a grand sounding word).

'Whence is that knocking?
How is't with me, when every noise appalls me?
What hands are here? Hah! They pluck out mine eyes.
Will all great Neptune's ocean wash this blood
Clean from my hand? No; this my hand will rather
The multitudinous seas incarnadine,
Making the green one red.'

But here used as a verb (first such usage 1605 by You-Know-Who).
