This is from the French Baroque opera "Les Indes Galantes," by Jean-Philippe Rameau. It's from the Paris Opera. The dance wraps up about halfway through:

Just a broadcasting note: much of the Public Broadcasting System is showing the Metropolitan Opera's recent production of Wagner's Ring Cycle this week. PBS always shows things at different times in different places, but in Northern Virginia the Valkyries are about to ride!

the next pavarotti and he's only 17. this is one of the best auditions i've ever heard...



they were the 1st runners up but should have won. they are both going to be big stars...
