Dance In Religion

I am looking to accumulate a record of ancient dances across all cultures and countries from Techniques and Meanings to Origins.

For example I know that Flamenco appears to have come from India. And that Indian dance and hand movements are a language unto themselves and tell a story.

ANY information/links along these lines would be greatly appreciated.

Here are some traditions I can think of but know little about :

- Morris Dancing
- Chinese "Opera"
- Balinese Dancing

The more ancient, complex and obscure the better!

Thank you
