Happy New Year y'all. I was at a Jack L concert last week - fantastic!!! He is touring with his 27 Club show in which he does covers of seminal iconic songs by artists that died aged 27 years.

R.L. Burnside is popular with more modern blues enthusiasts (and was all the rage 10 years or so ago). Here is one of my favorites by him

Fleetwood Friggin' Mac?! Hah! They're about as bluesy as Burl Ives playing bottleneck on an electric ukulele in a head-cutting contest...or Tiny Tim blowing out a Sonny Boy Williamson tune on blues harp while tiptoeing through the tulips.

But how about that white-hot white bluesman Justin Bieber? Yeah boy!...Now we're talking "that mean ol' woman done poured out my liquor, kicked me outta the house, stole my dog, ran off with my best friend and the keys to my new Cadillac" blues!
