Apart from the loss of such a musical genius, we Bangladeshis also lost a true friend of us, for the concert he (along with George Harrison) organized during our liberation war in 1971 - the 'Concert for Bangladesh' in Madison Square Garden, NY.
The musicians performed were - George Harrison, Ringo Star, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, and of course, Ravi Shankar with another maestro Akbar Ali Khan. | |
