Favorite Painting.

I recently was in a conversation with my father about history and politics. We grazed on the topic of art, a subject I am not big into. Although I do have a favorite painting. Fredrich Casper's "Wanderer over a sea of clouds" I was curious what was yours if any.

Lavender Mist - Jackson Pollock. Every time I look at it I see images of something different. It is so amazing the things I can find when I look deep into the painting and it is equally amazing how my perspective of the painting changes each time I view it.

What are these paintings names, who are the artists and where can we learn more about the paintings themselves?

My favorite painting is anything by John William Waterhouse. He is an amazing artist.

I have an album on my profile here of artists under "Oil Paintings".

He is indeed amazing, If only the faces in his arts weren't similar to each others.

Millais's Mariana.

I love the poem about Mariana in the Moated Grange, and, well, can never resist a good hip-to-waist ratio...
