Who is the best baseball player in history?

Alright...I'll admit that I am not the most active sports enthusiast, but that's alright, I can still be interested in the history of it. Heh. I was wondering who the best baseball player is. I've heard that Babe Ruth was the best, but then I've heard about other players like Hank Aaron. Who is the best?

Babe Ruth. He hit all his home runs while the Wall was deeper than it is today. He was also a pitcher at one time i do believe. He was a great player and great for the sport of baseball as a whole.

I have to go with Ruth. He was a 20 game winning, dominant Cy Young caliber Pitcher when his career began and became the most dominant hitter of his era at a time when the balls were made of out different, heavier materials, didn't fly as far, the walls were deeper and even the pitches were said to be at least somewhat different. The equipment was different too. Ruth was the most feared player of his time and is still one of the most respected players of all times years after his day had passed.

I have to go with Ruth.
