I've seen this before! Can't think where. Brilliant. The balance is just right ... had it been even slightly different, I'm not sure that it would work. But that's not the case at all. The artist must surely be counted a genius!!

Really two very exception paintings ( I almost said pictures), especially the second one, almost like a photograph, really outstanding skill from the person who drew both these.

I'm familiar with this too, and like it greatly.

I'm glad. BTW, the "Khurva" is being reconstructed, so it is no longer a picturesque ruin.

I couldn't get the link to work. It might be my browser, sorry. So I looked here:

I can see what they're trying to do, but I think it looks better in your mum's painting! More atmosphere.

Yes, sometimes the ruins have more personality than the original, ironic as it may be.

My mom wandered around a long time till she found the perfect spot for the painting. I did some sketches there with her - but nothing to keep.

I don't appreciate at by van gogh or picasso, don't like abstract, or impressionist, or avant garde , seems like nonsense to me, I like to see work where skill and intelligence is demonstrated with just a hint of inspiration

"cityscape with words" is good work, even if it looks like the work of a child, a smart child with potential.
