The Japanese have Chinese origin.
Well, you are right, but on the same time wrong.

There are lots of Chinese origins in Japan, but lots of Korean origin.
It is easy to let you know.

Linguistically, Chinese are totally different language compared to Japanese and Korean.

China's grmmar is the same like western language.
i.e) I love you.

But in Korean and Japanese,
the order would be "I you love"

I will put one more source.

Japanese emperor is closer to Korean blood as Japanese emperor himself testified that there.

It should be noted that even the Japanese emperor's ascendent is Korean, now there is only 1/2^20(after 20th generation), Korean blood in his vessels, meaning that these blood may be neglible.

As a Korean, I highly believe that ancient Japanese are largely immigrants from Korea, who wanted to escape from bloody wars between Korean three states and political upheavals.

Re: Korea's Beef with Japan

Korea and Japan go way back to Baekje/Gaya times. Supposed legends say Himiko, Queen of Japan, conquered Baekje; though no historical source back this theory.
It is believed by Koreans that Wa(Japan) was a tributary state of Baekje, while the Japanese believe otherwise. Such differences in opinion came due to the lack of accurate evidence (most of Korean documents were destroyed during Japanese occupation, hence other than Samguk Sagi and Yusa, Korean history of this era is known a lot through the Books of China), plus the old language which caused some controversies (Seven Branched Sword). Nevertheless, Japan was involved with Korean wars, having sent a large force to aid Baekje, that was eventually defeated by Gwanggaeto of Goguryeo at Pyongyang (then NOT the Capital of Goguryeo), and further continued on when Baekje fell, and Wa sent a navy/army with the Prince of Baekje to try and liberate it from Silla.
Koreans, though fought alongside the Mongols in Japan, actually aided the Shogunate by building faulty ships (Goryeo was, at the time, known for its magnificient fleet) so that they will crash and sink; showing when three-quarters of the Mongolian army failed to even land.

Japanese war crimes in Korea, Phillipines, China, Burma, etc. etc. are as horrific as the Nazi war crimes. Though such events have occured in history to all nations, the fact that the Japanese disclaim the said atrocities is quite astounding imo. They're like the Iranians who claim the Halocaust never happened.

Yea my old grandma can speak Japanese (she visits Japan sometimes too) and has a Japanese name; and my grandfather served as a reserve of the Japanese army

Also, the Japanese Kanji is only similar to Hanja (old Korean) because Hanja was basically a copout of Chinese. But Hangul is much different from both Chinese and Japanese.

It is practically fact that the Japanese people are part of the horse people that settled in Korea and further went to the island and settled there; this is much before the Three Kingdoms and Gaya (which is what i'm assuming you're takling about). Unless the Japanese are saying they spawned off the island, we are all very distantly related (I believe Altaic Turk though I'm not quite sure). It is highly doubtful that there ever was a high number of immigration to Japan during these times. Though some ultra-nationalist Korean historians claim that Gaya had 'colonies' in Japan (much like the Baekje 'colonies' in the Chinese coastal areas); it is highly unlilkely.

Re: Korea's Beef with Japan

I don't believe the Japanese deny war attrocities.

What they say is attrocities is a normal part of war so there was nothing untoward about what they did and nothing to apologise for.

And when you think this is coming from a country that was nuked twice by a country whose general population believe the nuking to be a good thing. And the country that wants an apology (China) did a level of attrocities to its own people in the last to centuries that makes what the Japanese did seem insignificant, you can at least see the Japanese position even if you don't sympathise with it.

As for the Japanese Korean thing. No-one alive in Korea today was ever a victim of the Japanese. No-one alive in Japan today ever victimised a Korean. These crimes were done by people who are now dead to people who are now dead.

The present day living Japanese have nothing to answer for and any present day Korean or Chinese that has a problem with this really needs to get a life.

Umm... a few of people who suffered from Japanese occupation are still alive today ; including my great-grandmother and my grandmother (who, as I've said, learned at school to speak Japanese). Remember that these events only happened some seventy years ago.

They do when the Prime Minister decides to go and pray for the ministers who committed these acts. Why do you think that Christian Bishop received strong critisism when he believed the Halocaust did not kill as many as people suspect.

Also, they deny the whole sex slave trade as well as stating that events as the Nanking Massacre was over-exaggerated.
Just because the two atomic bombs were dropped on their country does not change the fact that they committed atrocities. So I guess since that kid was bullied, his massacre at Virginia Tech should be rightly justified?

We are not asking them to pay back for what they're ancestors have done; that is outrageous, we merely asking them to admit the things they've done in the past and apologize for all the bs they're saying to the public. Even the Japanese people think its pretty ****ed up.

The Japanese PM prays for the WWII Japanese ministers, some people on this forum cult worship monsters like, Caesar, Napoleon, Alexander and Rommel. That's life. You can't blame people for fudging over past attrocities (I know I blame people regularly, but special circumstances, I'm allowed to be hypocritical as much as I like, (its an unfare world and I have that privilage, everyone else doesn't)).

And I agree an apology is absolutely worthless, especially when coming from politician for politically charged motives. So why the Japanese don't give an insincere apology to Korea while sniggering behind their backs I don't understand.

As for an apology to China, why don't they arrange a joint apology. China can apologise to Tibet as the same time.

They're from way past, we're also not whining about Hideyoshi or Meiji.

Do people in this forum worship Himmler? Goebbels?

meh... you're probably right bout the second part; even if they come up with an apology its not gonna be sincere.

Just compare Germany to Japan.
Why Germans are still apologizing to Jewish and neighboring nations' people everytime whenver they are possible?

Do Japanese apologize everytime they can?
They did one time, and stop. They are saying it is now done because they said "Oh, I am sorry," after killing lots of people.

Is saying "I am sorry," enough after killing people?

You might ask me "then what can they do for you?" but why don't they behave like Germans, who are always apologizing and feeling they "reallllllllllllllllly did wrong thing during Nazi?"

Rather, they are saying "sex slave" were voluntary, and nanking massacres are overrated.

If it were Germans, it is like Germans are saying "Holocaust was over-excited, and Jewish wanted to get into concentration camps because, otherwise, Jewish might have been doomed by furious German public. So Jewish should be grateful that Nazi was protecting Jewish and mercy on Jewish in terms of humanitarian level."

Japanese are not even stopping there. They are now even insisting that
Liancourt_Rocks Liancourt_Rocks
is Japanese terriotory and Korea is illegaly taking over it.

They are saying "
Sea_of_Japan_naming_dispute Sea_of_Japan_naming_dispute
," which was what Japanese historians referred to "East Sea," as now "Sea of Japan."
================================================== ======

Let me tell you one more thing about how Germans did.

Germany was lost to Soviet in WW2, and Soviet, as a winner, in the war, took over its terrotorial rights over Konigsberg and later Stalin changed the name of terrotory into Kalingrad.
Konigsberg is where Kant (German famous philosopher) and where the capital of East Prussia was at and where there were king's coronation's held.

Still, Kaliningrad is jurisdiction of Russia, and recently Russians-German politicians have been talking about whether Russia give territorial rights to Germans while Germans exempt Moscow's debt.

German historical education books do not write "Russians are illegally occupying our East Prussian Capital," where Japanese military notes and historical education books in schools write "Russians are illegally occupying Kuril Islands."

Taking Germany and Japan into axis nations in 70 years ago, they are so different; the former is seriosuly repenting their grad parents' crimes during WW2 while the latter is rather looking for "proud country in the world," never repenting what they have done.

How different they are?

As long as they do not show their repentence, I can not believe any rhetorical words from their mouth.

YOU probably wonder why Japs are reluctant to apology in truly to other neighbored nations, which I am gonna answer.

1st. They are the richest in East Asia.
Japs has been apologying truly (?) to Americans whenver possible because America is the #1 nation in the world. There are even American victism museum in Tokyo, but not for other neighbored nations.

To understand this, you should understand Japanese cultures.
Japanese culture is like they are rough and impolite to "socially minor people" or "the powerless," whereas they must be polite to "the power" and "the strong."

That is probably why; because American is powerful, they politely say they did wrong in the Pearl Harbor while because other neighbored nations are poor, malfunctining, and weak, they do not truly apologize it.

2nd. Japanese political family.
The imcumvent PM in Japan is Aso Taro,
Shigeru_Yoshida Shigeru_Yoshida

So, his grand father in mother side was once imprisoned by U.S. military in charge of "imperialists during WW2."

If you look at Japan's PM, their father and mother are mainly from former PM's daughter or sons. (It is more like hierchy system that can be seen in medival kingdom)

Let me tell you one more.
Koizmie Junichiro, probably the most famous PM in Japn, had his father who was also minister in Japan's imperialist government.

If you study them closely, lots of current Japan's important politicians have their father or grand father, who have been actively working under Japan's WW2. (though not every one)

So, why would they feel truly sorry and regretful what their grand fathers did? No reason, espeically if you consider that in East Asia, they highly think it important to worship their father, mother, and their ascendents.

If it were Germany, it is like Gobels' grandson is now PM of Germany, Himmer's grandson, Goring's grandson, are now very important politicians.
So, there are still lots of right wing extreme, who can arguably described as imperialists or facists, and they are now in the power.

Unlike Germany, Tokyo War Criminal does not have enough cause to kick them out by means of laws because, U.S. was worring about communism in Japan, and they had to tactily respond to that threat, and the only way was to reuse Japanese imperialists again because they knew Japan the best.

And worst of all were the Korean sex slaves. Thousands of women who were forced into being sex slaves to service the Japanese soldiers on the front lines. These women would often be raped all day long and all night by Japanese soldiers and when they were no longer of use, they got a bullet to the head. At the end of the war most of them were murdered so that nobody would find out. Absolutely disgusting! To this day the Japanese government has not apologized about much of anything. There have been no reperations for the sex slaves. They don't even acknowledge that it happened.

And then there is the dispute between Japan and Korea about the tiny group of islands in the Sea of Japan that are occupied by Korea but claimed by Japan.
And there is also the whole dispute about the name of the Sea of Japan. The Koreans mantain that the Sea of Japan is actually called the Eastern Sea but the Japanese mantain that it is the Sea of Japan.

So that is why the Koreans hate the Japanese.
I think the Koreans and the Japanese should come together to prevent the Chinese from bullying them. I hope you are aware about the recent Island dispute between the Japanese and the Chinese. If North Korea joins this alliance it would be much stronger.

I agree that the Japanese did a lot of bad things to their neighbours in the recent past but look who is the oppressor now?

The only dispute south korea has with china is over one half of a single mointain, Baekdu. South korea is not going to fight a war with china over one half of a mountain and a caldera lake.
