Both Japan and China were part of the Allies. China sent men to help in France while Japan attacked German holdings in Asia and the Pacific.

If I remember right there was actually a small Japanese fleet active in European waters as well.

Japan gained possession of Germany's former South Pacific colonies under a League of Nations mandate, which they would later put to good use in their campaign against the Allies in the Pacific.

China sent laborers to work on the trenches in World War I. France imported thousands of Vietnamese to do similar work.

I don't know about China, but Japan landed soldiers on German Pacific colonies. India sent troops over to the trenches in France. Australia and New Zealand (If they were to be counted at the time) sent troops to Gallipoli and the Western Front.

ya japan landed a force of about 60,000 on a german colony in china after the british asked them for help, 2000 british soldiers joined them. the port they attacked(forget the name of the place) had the largest concentration of the german fleet in dock, the town quickly fell and the fleet was forced to flee into the pacific, this episode was a major step in japanese expansion and indirectly lead to pearl harbour

My great grandpa(my father's grandpa) from Vietnam fought in the trenches. It's the only time he went out of his village. The French conscripted anyone(male) who couldn't pay his taxes, fearing in wartime people would revolt against them.
