As the title says, what are your favourite daimyo?
Uesugi Kenshin: one of the greatest military commanders of the Sengoku Jidai period,a symbol of bushido, he always fought honorably(he even sent salt supplies to his enemy Shingen when he ran out of them).he is also the man who made Oda Nobunaga cry like a sissy after his defeat at Tedorigawa

, unfortunately he died less than a year later from an alcohol related disease.
For me Uesugi Kenshin is a sort of very very very martial Barney Gumble
Azai Nagamasa: the fact that he chose to honor a century long alliance instead of siding with his brother in law is for me something remarkable. In the battle of Anegawa his forces performed really good even if he lost the battle.
Plus he died in the ol' fashion way by committing seppuku inside his burning castle
Maeda Toshiie: he served Nobunaga loyally even after he lost his master's trust due to his quick temper, he was later "pardoned" by Nobunaga, managing the become an horo guard and commanding a force of arquebusers at Nagashino that proved to be decisive
Nabeshima Naoshige: he went from a retainer of Takanobu Ryuzoji(another heavy drinker) to being a daimyo on his own. He was a very skillfull commander(famous his exploit at Saga castle) and also remebered for being the sujbect of some of the Hagakure's precepts
