Very interesting! But the thing is, we just aren't sure. Linguists believe that alot of the Central Plain language is preserved in the Holo dialect, which is spoken in Fujien and Taiwan. Even today, the more accurate and pleasing way to read poems from Tang is to read in Holo or some other older dialects such as Cantonese.

Like I said before Mandarin is quite new and dissimilar to the original Central Plain language.

nope, holo is only the earliest branch of chinese family. linguist had drawn a outline of the standard language of qin.

it is very different from any modern chinese dialects, just as the old english from the modern one, or latin to french or italy are more exact comparisions.

wang li has a book on the changing of chinese pronunciation from pre qin to nowadays , on which you definitely have no interest, i suppose.

They speak Mandarin Chinese in Qing dynasty. And it is the last dynasty in Chinese history. Later, the Chinese build the People's Republic of China(PRC). Here is the Timeline of Chinese Dynasties:

I want to know about the dialect spoken during the QIN dynasty not the QING dynasty.

So it should preserve more of the original language than Mandarin, no?

Since it's probably very dry, so not at all.

Chang'An, the old Xi'an, was the most cosmopolitan city in the world in its time. So, modern Xi'an dialect is probably mixed with outside dialects/languges.
