I've read by the time they hit the Khwarezmians Genghis' army consisted of more Turks than it did Mongols.

Oğuz Turks (Turkiye,Azerbaycan,Turkmenistan,TRNC,Gagauz) are Caucaoid.Kipchak Turks (Kazakistan,Kirgizistan,Uzbekistan,Uyghur) are fairly Mongoloid.

Besides, Turkmens are not that much different from Uzbeks or even Uyghurs.
