but believe me i did not make it myself nor did i read in any hindi text but i got this information from a blog which is maintained by some jayraman and most of its articles were in tamil so i trusted them. my bad for that.

but i wonder why a tamil man would give such an information which appears to me as wrong. can you explain this?

There is a high chance that it would have got the name from the ancient sangam landscape names. We can not discard that other possibility just like the one you put forth earlier . I apologize for mentioning your particular post as Sanskrit-Hindu Centric.

Well ,there are few Tamil Brahmins who are so Sanskrit Aryan Centric give such facts without taking into account of the antiquity of the Tamil society. They believe that the Aryan Brahmins brought everything to south From the North and to prove that they are superior.

Isn't there any neutral version of Tamil history which is neither tamil nor aryan centric?

We have Mr. Iravantham Mahadevan, who is well known indologist currently researching the Indus scripts and few other. I believe that his works are unbiased.

I read the first two pages of article and it seems very interesting. Thanks for sharing it.

It is ok to be Tamil Nationalist (for a Tamil ) than to be a Hindi nationalist .

But I state clearly that I do not buy the Lemurian origin theory.

There is no things as hindi nationalists. it is a hallucination of other terrorists like Ltte and ULFA .

the people of hindi belt are most accomodating of all indians and I have never seen any " expel the non hindi " in my state as we saw in tamil nadu and maharashtra.

Narsimha Rao represented a linguistic group which is just 6 percent of Indian population and yet he became Indian PM and be rest assured no hindi speaking or even malyali speaking can become CM of Tamil Nadu.

Then who invented the words, Madarasi and Lungi Wala and all. The North Indians try to dominate the other without giving fair opportunity. And who tried to bring the Hindi only Bill, Is it the Begalis? or the Hindi Belt?

Hindi people come here and they stay for very long time and they proudly tell that they do not know to speak Tamil as if they have got a Bharat Rathna for that.

the word lungiwala was used by marathi fanatics to expel south people from Maharashtra and not by hindi people. we have just borrowed and it is no abuse as madrasi means one from chennai.

I do not know about such hindi people who do not learn tamil in tamil nadu but it is no crime.

when P Chidambaram and devagowda can proudly affirm that they do not know hindi, it is better we stop thinking in such terms.

and the man who brought hindi bill were such great men the likes of whom are rarely produced in world. They were better than DMk fanatics who were traitors to country and were demanding separate statehood for them.

there was no south contribution to Indian freedom struggle and those south people who did it were in favour of hindi like Rajagopalchari.

the ones who opposed hindi were same paid agents of british and even now those who oppose hindi are anglicised indians.

and that proves my point that though malyali people are 3 percent of tamil nadu, no CM from that community whereas dewagowda also came from a group which is just 4 percent ( kannada speaking people) of indian population and yet he became PM of india.

first i ask tamil people to show any CM not speaking in tamil and yet being CM of tamil nadu then talk about other things.
