Hello History Lovers,
Here is a small video I made on a very rare Indian Martial Art. It is known as "Mardani Khel". The beauty about this art is that it was developed in 15th - 16th Century for guerrilla warfare during the reign of the Great King Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Also known as the Father of Indian Navy. He used this art to build an empire against the most powerful Mughals. The art is now very rarely practiced and almost close to extinct. This video is an artistic showcase of that this Martial Art. There are very few fighters now who can perform the advance moves of the art. It is practiced only in a small city of India known as Kolhapur. Your appreciation for it, and helping it spreading among the internet citizens will go a long way in encouraging people in maintain this art. Hope you all will enjoy the video. Can I link different applicable topics with only one thread? That would be even better. Even I thought twice before duplicating. Thought that these topics were not related to each other. Like there are 4 other topics that are applicable with this topic. Sorry for that. Do suggest a solution. Thanks. | | |

It's pretty, but it looks way too theatrical in my opinion. It kind of reminds me of the movements that are used in Chinese opera. Could you do a video showing actual combat applications of the techniques, such as the double staff?

That would be much more informative than what was on the video.
Thanks
