    HH was also partly to blame for my addiction I think, well, the first time around at least... the second time it was all on Bettany Hughes.

    Loved the show though, I keep re-watching it on Netflix when I'm too tired to focus on 'real' History.

    I feel like that may have been when she was with Time Team? They had a few 'specials' like that.

    I'm trying to think of the documentary she did on the winch and hook devised by Archimedes to sink ships, but the title escapes me. Sometimes you can't put a finger on why you enjoy something so much, but it's one of my favourites of all time. It was one episode of a series on experimental archaeology that was all the rage at the time and stood out for me.
